Foot singing bowl

Updated: 5 days ago

Grounding and vibration deep into your soul. The Foot bowl is one of the most grounding instruments in my Sound Meditation practice, both literally and figuratively. It is a large, heavy Himalayan singing bowl with a 50 cm diameter, in which you, yes, really, stand barefoot. When the bowl is struck while you're standing in it, you don’t just feel the vibration under your feet, but throughout your entire body. It’s as if the Earth itself is speaking to you. An energetic reset that brings you back to your foundation. I personally stand in it twice a day, in the morning to ground and consciously begin my day, and in the evening to release what’s no longer needed. This bowl has a central place in my studio. You simply can’t miss it.

What does the Foot bowl do?

  • the vibration enters your body directly through the soles of your feet

  • your nervous system calms down, your mind becomes quiet

  • you feel steady, grounded, and fully present in the here and now

  • old tension or blockages begin to release

Many people say afterwards:

  • “I felt my entire skeleton vibrating”

  • “I suddenly had tears in my eyes, for no reason”

  • “my legs felt heavy, and then surprisingly light”

Why I use this bowl

Because feet are often forgotten. And that’s exactly where true connection begins. When your feet feel safe, the rest of your body naturally follows. The foot bowl works on that deepest level: safety, grounding, and being present in your body. And the beauty is: you don’t have to do anything. Just stand, feel, and let the sound do its work.

A small ritual

In my studio, the foot bowl is placed in a central position. Each session sometimes begins or ends with it. It’s a moment of silence. A meeting with yourself, through your feet. And again and again, it’s touching to witness how something so simple can move so deeply.

A unique bowl with deep meaning

My foot bowl is not just any singing bowl, it is richly engraved with deep symbolism. Inside, the feet of Buddha are engraved, surrounded by the 7 chakras and the 8 Tibetan auspicious symbols. Each symbol carries a meaning of wisdom, harmony, protection, and inner growth.

This handmade foot bowl was chosen with great care. I tried no less than 88 different foot bowls to find exactly the right tone, vibration, and resonance, the bowl that didn’t just sound right, but resonated with my entire being. Only then did I know: this is the one. She belongs here.

This bowl also carries small imperfections. But that’s exactly what belongs to her, and to life itself. It’s what makes her real, unique, and beautiful.

'C’est le ton qui fait la musique'.
